Otaku Work Out

Posted by Otaku Dan

I gained some weight during my 3 month vacation, I think it's think to lose it. My life is more during the college time was more active because my classrooms are about a 5 minute walk from each other. I did get lazy during my free time and I ate to much junk food which is really bad. I am going to lose the weight but I need motivation.

By motivation I mean otaku goodies. I will buy myself certain things only if I lose a certain amount of weight in a month.

If I lose 10 pounds, I will get HG 1/144 Kampfer

If I lose 20 pounds, I will get Shuraki: Ryu Meifen figure

If I lose 30 pounds or more, I will get a Nintendo Wii

I know that these items are great motivation but my biggest motivation is to have a healthy and long life.

Working out does not require motivation. Besides buying them is not much motivation, you should be receiving them as rewards instead lol. Still, good luck on losing weight. Fastest way to do that is to concentrate on cardiovascular exercises.

Seems like a lot of work XD. but the little reward system is pretty nice. Though that would never work for me, I would bend the rules for myself haha

You gotta make sure you keep the weight down though. Taking long walks (speed walking especially) will burn calories like crazy and won't leave you half dead. After I've spent the summer working as a sweeper at a theme park I'm down to 120 pounds (but I've been losing the same 5 pounds forever so I'm not sure if it counts).

Good luck and keep us posted

"psst..10 bucks on 10 pounds ^^;"

See it's college where I gained my weight. about twenty pounds in fact. I lost a few of those in the last few weeks, but I'll be needing to watch what I eat and keep up my DDR routine to lose the rest. The otaku goodies motivation isn't a bad idea. It's worked for me in the past.

Good luck! Ganbare!

30+ lbs in a month is completely unreal. :p You would have to have a caloric deficit of 3500 calories each day, and unless you eat 5500+ calories worth of food per day, its not possible. You'd have to be deathly ill for it to be even remotely possible.

kinda funny but this works for me. be too lazy(uhm) to make food and dont want to spend money on food. if living with your parents or whatever reason, say you make and buy your own food. make it work. and think of the time and money you got left for your hobbys by not having to make your food. and make the hobby good cuz you want distraction (online pc games). when hungry eat a nice bisquit and drink water. eating 1 time a day a healthy meal is enough.(i did with less for years). im even trying to gain weight. and act grownup to this matter, cuz the only 1 that can make this work is you, no1 can do this for you. temporarily others can help, but that wont last cuz they got there own lifes. and i trust you want to maintain the weight after you get it. mainthing is *make it work* sounds harsh but i mean well. good luck

Realizing that this is an old post and you probably have already lost the weight that you wanted to, I came across a DVD called Training With Hinako that I've found helpful. I've posted about it on my blog. Maybe it'll help some of your readers.
