I was writing my next post and at the same time I was surfing Youtube. I stumbled upon a sample video of the Zero no Tsukaima English Dub. I stopped writing that I was going to post to show everyone the horror that I saw with my very own eyes.
I warning you to remove all small children and expecting mothers from the room before you see this travesty. You have been warned.
When I saw this, I thought to myself that some higher power was punishing me for something I did but everyone is getting punished. I can't believe that Geneon did such a horrible job on the dub and that Funimation is going to distribute it. I will buy the DVD boxset but I'm going to watch it with the Japanese dub. What are your feeling on this "dub"?

My opinions of the dub: Saito sounds terrible
Louise is on the border line
Kirche's also bad
Siesta's also okay
Quiche's just horrible
Derflinger's even worse
Henrietta is okay too.
Maybe if they added in some english ascent like FFXII, maybe it would have been better.
Saito is just horrible and Louise it just the same either but man, they destroyed Quiche's. 0_0
Well, I won't be getting it until I get confirmation S2 and S3 is licensed.
Another failed production by Geneon. It doesn't surprise me they are gone with little effort like this. T_T
it always bothers me that why do english dubs always sound the same? are they always done by the same english seiyuu?
enlish dub always sounds so serious? lacks character.
Got to 2:29 and collapsed sobbing. God, no... Geneon are fast becoming the new 4Kids... All English dubs do tend to be the same, same abysmal VAing, same cheesy "jokes", same cr*p... The boys' voices make me want to hurl, especially Quiche. xX
o_O The PAIN!!! The horrible, horrible PAIN!!! My dear friend your warning should have included everyone with a pulse and good hearing. Points to Destinii on 4kids call. If this is the best Geneon cand do then English dubbing should be stripped from their contract agreement o_O

It seems its pretty much the same as with german dubs about 85% are just downright bad and are voiced by the same 10 sucky Anime Voice actors.
Its horrible but i wont see a change there...sadly
Saito sounds like a fruit and Louise's voice is not cute at all...
OMG! This is so horrible that I'd rather listen to the Japanese with the subs turned on as many of you have stated above! I agree that English Anime voice actors just completely suck and never put their soul's into it! ARGH! Saito sounds like a dork, Kirche is horrible, Louise isn't cute, Guiche sounds like a man and reminds me of "James" from Poke'mon, and so on and so forth! ARGH! Geneon has never delivered anything worthwhile that I've watched, and this is no exception! I shouldn't have expected so much from them!
so is season 2 and 3 also dubbed in english on the boxset? or is it just season 1 ?
