For that last ten days, Funimation Entertainment has been reveling new anime that they got the rights. They have been saying that these ten new anime that are going to be released in the U.S. are going to be the next biggest hits to hit the anime scene.
December 22: Ikki Tousen
Ikki Tousen already came out in the U.S. and what Funimation got the rights to the first season of the anime. It gets worst, the second season is currently owned by another dubbing company meaning that the English voices of the characters are going to sound different. I see this anime being released as a complete collection and few months later the bargain bin. I'm going to buy after I see it in the bargain bin.
December 23: Gad Guard
This anime came out in 2003. I have never heard of it and I have a feeling that it is going to be forgotten very quickly. I see it being released as single volume DVDs.
December 24: Vandread
This anime came out in 2000. Geneon had the rights to this anime and it came out in 2003. Funimation is saying that the got the right to Vandread, for a minute I thought that they only had the rights to the first season but it seems that they have the rights for the anime Vandread and Vandread: The Second Stage. It looks like they are going to released it as a complete collects but in two parts.
December 25: Nabari No Ou
This anime came out in the 2008 spring season. It was really not my radar but after reading the plot, it sounds interesting. I see it being released as single volume DVDs. I'm going to buy this one.
December 26: Last Exile
I have heard of a lot of good things of this anime. It was previously owned by Geneon meaning that it will come out as a complete collection. I'm going to get this anime.
December 27: Oh! Edo Rocket
I have no time for this anime, NEXT!!!
December 28: Count Of Monte Cristo
Again, I have heard of a lot of good things of this anime. It was previously owned by Geneon meaning that it will come out as a complete collection. I'm going to get this anime.
December 29: Slayers Revolution
In the U.S., there is a big Slayers fan base and I see Funimation milking the hell out of this anime. I see this anime going to be released first as single volume DVDs and then a complete collection with special features added.
December 30: Gungrave
It was previously owned by Geneon and I see it being released as a complete collection.
December 31: Samurai Champloo
I really like this anime but I have seem it on TV over 5 times. A boxset of this anime was released by Geneon but it cost around $100 USD. This anime has complete collection written all over it. I'm getting this one for sure.
Then Fanimation pulled a fast one by revealing that they got the rights to the anime, Soul Eater. That actually surprised a little but I was kind of expecting it because a month after the anime started in Japan, The website Crunchy Roll took it down because it was licensed in the U.S. Funimation said that they are going released this anime in 4 part complete collections. Biggest shock in the anime industry has happened, Funimation has got the rights to Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone movie. When I saw that, I started crying tears of joy. What are your thoughts on this matter?

They got the Evangelion movie!? I am very excited for that! :D
Soul Eater being licensed by them was little surprise. Let us hope they do not end up with more faggotry in the dubs, because SE is a great shounen series.
Of course, I only watch the raws or English subbed versions, so no harm to me there.
it's a shame everyone's written off "OH! Edo Rocket", cause it's quite good. it's by Madhouse, and was written by the same guy as Gurren Lagann.
Them licensing Soul Eater stopped Tadaschi from subbing the series :( But I'm happy Soul Eater found a home in the US. It's the best shonen I've seen in a long time.
I'm extremely excited for the Eva movie. Everything else I already own, have already seen, or it just doesn't look interesting. Last Exile starts out strong, but I quickly became bored with the show. That's Gonzo for you. :)
When Soul Eater sub groups were getting their C&D letters, I wasn't happy because I wasn't getting my subs. But looking it another way, the anime is getting promoted elsewhere, which is great seeing as so many of us have jipped anime studio of their money =o
