Metrocon 09 Loot

Posted by Otaku Dan

I have not bought anything anime related in the last couple of months. When I got to Metrocon's vendor's room, I had to wait in line for about an hour. When it was finally my chance to get in, I saw heaven's door. What you see below is the treasure I managed to acquire this year.

Figures:
Figma Tsuruya-san cultural festival maid version
Figma Rin Tousaka
Max Factory Haruhi Suzumiya
Banpresto Neliel Tu Oderschvank
Megahouse Nami version 2(the one in the bag)

Manga:
Battle Club vol. 1-6
Old Boy vol. 1 & 2

Anime:
Berserk complete collection
Ergo Proxy complete collection

I did not spent as much money as I did last year, but I'm pretty happy with what I got. I pretty much focused on figures, anime, and manga. I did buy more manga than anime because Borders had 20% off on all manga. I did notice that ADV did have a stall but they where only selling discontinued anime and manga for a very cheap price but nothing got my attention.

This is to one thing I hate after shopping

I may do a couple of figure photo shoots, if I don't feel lazy. That is it, this is my last post that is Metrocon related until January of next year.

Are you planning to keep the boxes?

I recall u wanted the MF Haruhi for a very long time but never took the chance as it was either sold out or u missed the chance.
Doesn't Metrocon happen every year at the same time?

I was figuring I was going to see a pile of stuff when you got back. It looks like you played it close to the chest and got only what you had been wanting for a while. It is a nice little stash of stuff - especially the Figma Tsuruya-san cultural festival maid version

I do not think I could of had that type of reserve and would of spent way too much.

Looking forward to the photo shoots

Grats on the MF Haruhi! She is a classic! She was one of my first figures too actually. And YAY for a Nami figure! I'm a pretty big fan of the Rin figma! Although I skipped the maid version of Tsuruya since I had her regular figma. MF already gets enough of my money without me buying double characters of figmas.

How do you carry so much loot around at cons? I would think it gets too annoying.

@Dan-man: Ouch! {Cringe} Don't show the destruction to Jem-chan!

LOL, u apparently don't treat your figure boxes with the same care and sensitivity as i do, lol. For me, I keep and place all the plastic bits and fasteners back in the plastic molding as close to their original positions as possible. So if the time comes, I can replace the figure in her wrapping in the same original way.

In any case, congrats on the haul! Can't go wrong with "MF Haruhi".

P.S. Stupid CommentLuv error!
