The Next Key Anime

With only a few episodes left of Clannad: After Story, I started thinking what could be the next anime based off a Key visual novel. For those who don't know, Key is a Japanese company known for making dramatic and plot heavy visual novel game. They are the minds behind such classic games little Kanon, Air, and Clannad. For those who have not notice the Key pattern, a new anime based from a Key game comes out every single year.

Air TV, it came out in 2005

Kanon, it came out in 2006

Clannad, it came out in 2007 and Clannad: After Story, it came out in 2008

The only 2 Key games that could get a anime adaptation is Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume and Little Busters!. Out of these 2, I would love to see Little Busters! made because I'm a big fan of the game. So, which Key game would you like to see getting an anime adaptation or are you tired of them?

Figure Boxes

This morning I was getting ready for school and I dropped a clothes hanger. When I went to retrieve I discovered something frightening, mold was starting to grow on the figure boxes I had stored away in my closet. I freaked out when I saw that because I'm O.C.D. when it come to cleaning. The reason why I got mold was because of the humidity and the strange weather changes.

So many innocence victims
When I got out of classes, I when to Walmart to buy some mold killing cleaning solutions and some rubber gloves. I use my trusty orange box cutter to cut down the boxes so they will be able to fit in the recycling bin.

I have owned this box cutter for over 6 years. If you have figured it out, orange is my favorite color

These are the boxes cut down, it does not look like much

While I was at Walmart, I got this plastic bin to store important anime related stuff

The whole getting mold growing on figure boxes will only happen if you store the boxes in a damp place and for some reason my closet has a cold draft. So, are you going to check for mold?

Hobby Search Figure Bargain Bin

I was writing my next post and I decided to quickly check out Hobby Search. While I was there looking at the new preorder, I don't know why but I ended up clicking on the PVC figure bargain tab. I was shocked by the seeing so many new figures in the bargain bin that I had to stop writing that post to write this one.

Haruhi Beach Side version by Kotobukiya came out last November for the price of 5,800 yen, now it is seeing for 4,059 yen.

Ayase Fuka Swim Suit version by Kaiyodo came out last September for the price of 2,800 yen, now it goes for 1,400 yen. This figure was reduced by 50 percent, WOW.

Haruhi Swim Suit version by Griffon Enterprises came out last November for the price of 6,500 yen, now it is going for 4,225 yen.

Now this figure got me off guard, this is Cat Ear Louise version by Jun Planning that figure came out late December. This figure was originally going for 4,800 yen, now it is going for 3,360 yen

It seems that Hobby Search not making that many sales on these figures so they ended up dropping the price to sell them. The Economic crisis is so bad right now, that new Haruhi figures are not selling out which happens to be very weird. So, who is going to take advantage of these price drops?

Gunpla Retirement

Today, January 28, 2009, I am retiring from building Gundam model kits. It is not that I lost interest but other things have come up.

I have built 23 model kits in the last 3 years

one of the reasons is that I don't have the time. Since I'm studying all of the time and working on my blog with the only free time I have. It has been over 6 months since I have ever build any type of model kit and I think I have lost some of my model kit building skills. I was going to enter in 2009 BAKUC but time is my biggest factor.

Recently, I have been seeing the price for Gundam model kits go up and it has become ridicules. Before, a new High Grade Universal Century model kit would cost around $20 dollars but now the cheapest new is like around $35 dollars. I can use that money for other things like gasoline for my car and to support my hobby.

I'm going to continue displaying the kits I have build in the past but what may end up happening is that when my figure collect runs out of space, they will be transferred to the shelf and the kits will end up in a box. Someday I may just build Gundam model kit one more time but that time is not now.

Manga Fans Have it Easy

Manga fans have it easy in the whole otaku fandom. Manga books is cheaper than anime DVDs, there are a lot more manga series than anime series that one can choose from, and it is better for the development of one's mind.

This is my current manga collection, I have 91 books right now.

collecting manga is a lot cheaper than collecting DVDs. The average price of a single volume of a manga will cost between $7.95 to $13.95, while anime DVDs will cost $25.00 and up. With $100.00 dollars I can buy about 12 manga volumes or 4 anime DVD volumes.

There is a much larger selection of manga series compared to anime and it is a lot more accessible. The ratio manga to anime is 10:4, There are so many manga series flooding the market that ideas that you will always find something that you will like. There are series that have both an anime and a manga but somethings the complete anime won't be released in its entirety like for example, only the first arc of Saint Seiya came out in the U.S. but the manga only has 5 volumes are left before it ends.

Manga is actually good for you. I have friends who hate reading books but if you throw a manga at their direction, they will beg for more. You must be thinking that these friends I'm talking about are anime fans but They are not, they dislike anime but manga will draw them in. When you are reading you are exercising your brain and that is a good thing, however went watching anime you are just sitting down with a blank expression on your face.

WOW, I must really like manga maybe I should change the title of my blog to, Otaku Dan: The Life of a Manga Fan, lol. So, what do you think of manga?

TV Sucks

Yesterday, I decided to sit down and actually watch TV. That was such a big mistake because there is so much crap that is considered entertainment. I only turn on my TV to play video games or watch anime. The only programming that I like is House M.D. and the interesting stuff on the Discovery channel.

I need to fix my bed

First up on the chopping block is the reality TV shows. These "reality" shows are the worst because it is all scripted or the situation is set up for them. The people who are on these reality shows are either attention whores or wannabe actors that have no talent. The only real reality show is Cops and True: E.R.

Game shows are horrible. I'm not talking Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy(those are good), I'm talking about the new stuff. There is this show on TV called "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader", pretty much what happens is that they ask a series of questions that a fifth grader should know the answer to, to these middle aged people who have not read a book in years. Then there is a game show called "The Hole", this show is a copy of a Japanese game show with the people who are trying to get through different shaped holes that are coming towards them or they will hit the water. The thing is with the American version of this show is that they get people who have a larger body type and the hole is like 1 foot in diameter.

There are so many other things that I don't like about TV but I'm going to be wasting my time writing on this topic due to the fact that these horrible shows will never end.

Nendoroid Akai and Seike Photo Shoot

These are the nendoroid netit Akai and Seike figures that come as an extra for the Nintendo DS game, Dokidoki Majo Shinpan! 2 Duo. The one with the pink hair is Akai from the original Dokidoki game and the one with the blue hair is Seike from the sequel. These nendoroids are a little hard to get due to the fact that you would have to dish out $95.00 dollars to get it, unless you buy the game at Play-Asia.

First up is Akai

For a nendoroid petit, she has big boobs.

Now it is Seike's turn

The overall detail of these figures is pretty good.

Double nendoroid pantsu shot!!!!!

This photo shoot was a little short due to the fact that there is not much to a nendoroid petit figure. I hope you enjoyed this photo shoot.

Megami Magazine

I finally bought my first issues of Megami Magazine. For those who don't know, Megami Magazine is a Japanese monthly magazine that focuses on cute female anime and video game characters. It is also known for having a ton of posters each month and a mega poster. I have been meaning to pick up an issue of this magazine but I was always putting it off, I would forget and it sold out, or I found it other site for an expensive price.

Most Anime fans that that don't know the Japanese language but they still get this magazine, they do it for the posters. When I opened up the magazine, I was surprised by the number of posters that came in it, 10 double sided posters.

I was to lazy to take pictures of of each poster individually, if you want to see them, visit dis-JoinTed Zone for that.

This is the Mega poster for this month, the girls of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS on one side

On the other side it is the girls from Code Geass, they look hot

I ended up replacing This Bleach poster with something sexy, good bye Ichigo
Hello Taiga and Ami, yummy

So, do you buy Megami Magazine every month or are you planning to get one soon?

Dokidoki Majo Shinpan! 2 Duo Review

Dokidoki Majo Shinpan! 2 Duo is about a male high school who enters a magical land and you have to find who is a witch and who is not. To discover who is a witch, you have to touch the girls. Ok, the game is pretty much about how you go to a middle school and molest young loli withes. There are mini games that you have to complete to advance in the story but the main thing is molesting young loli witches. I know this game is really perverted and it is bad to do that kind of stuff to lolis but everyone know that witches have no soul, so it is ok. The game is very text heavy and it is in Japanese. I bought the game because I wanted to get it for a long but it was too expensive until Play-Asia dropped the price and it is great help for those who are learning Japanese. Now, lets look at the extras of the limited edition version of this game.

The game comes in this nice colorful box with all the girls you do "things" to.

It bring two petit nendoroid of Akai and Seika, they are really cute. I'm planning to do a Photo shoot of these two.

A cellphone charm of angel Lulu and devil Kuro

A card of Kureha, when you rub the black dress something magical happens..............

You can reveal her underwear, it's like having x-ray vision.

Seika address book, which you can use as your own.

A CD Rom that contains some more extras. I have not check out the extras yet because I have been very busy with stuff.

oh, and the game. I find it funny that the regular version cost more than the limited version.

What I learned about this game, is that I'm going to hell for the things I had to do in the game. The game may is not for everybody because you have to molest loli witches but if you want to get the extra goodies that comes in the limited edition version of the game then buy it. So, who is going to buy this game?

Two Packages at a Time

Yesterday after I got out of classes early, I decided to go out and by some manga and I also got one those reusable tote bags because I want to use that instead of plastic bags. When I got home, I found 2 packages on my door step for me. The cool thing is that I ordered these two 2 items about a week apart from each other and they both arrived at my house at the same time. So, lets see what's inside......

In package 1, it is the latest issue of Megami Magazine. I have been meaning to buy an issue of Megami Magazine but I was about to find it for a cheap price

In package 2, it is limited edition first print of Dokidoki Majo Shinpan! 2 DUO. I have been wanting to buy the first game and I almost did at Metrocon but a month earlier, the sequel was announced. I got this game for $39.90 at Play-Asia which is 10 dollars cheaper than the regular version of this game. The limited edition version was going for $95.00 but after the big price cut, I had to get it.

I am going to review Dokidoki Majo Shinpan! 2 DUO later this week. So, have you ever had 2 orders you made to arrive at the same time?

Anime girls and Blog updates

Today, I was just going to do a blog update/Team Blue post but it felt that I was alienating the rest of my readers so I'm combining it with a 2D girls post.

I recently add a search box on the top of the right column for those who want to find a particular older post in my blog. It is not the Google search box that one can get from Adsense, meaning that it will not take you to a Google search resolute page and you will stay on the site.

I'm working very hard to fix the comment box problem. I trying to develop a wordpress style comment box, but it's is a challenge. If I can't make it, then I will look one on the internet for one. For the time being, Please use the one I have.

Panther, wants names for the different Team Blue regions because it is kind of tiring saying xxxxx region over and over again. A name that I nominate for the Americas Region is The Embassy. Any members of the Americas region can nominate one name of their choice in a comment below. I will later add a poll on one of the side columns with the nominated names so anybody can vote of the best one.

If there are any bloggers out there who want to do a link exchange, just ask me. I don't bite. If I'm already on your blog roll, please tell me in a comment below so I can add you.

I hope that everyone enjoyed and was informed by this post.
