How To: Flash Diffuser

There is something that I want to confess, I have only used the flash on my camera only once in the three years I have owned it. The reason why, I hate using the flash on any camera. The pictures come out washed out and when used, it looks terrible 99% of the time. There is a solution for that, flash diffuser. It's are used to soften the light so pictures won't come out washed out. The thing is, they don't sell them for point-and-shoot cameras. So, I made one just using a simple sheet of paper.

You will be needing paper, pencil, ruler, x-acto knife, and tape.

First, use your ruler to find the size of your camera's flash. Then, carefully draw it to the appropriate size.

Now used the x-acto knife to cut it out. When you are done with that, fold and tape it together.

Final product.

This is without the diffuser and the flash on.

If you want to go a step further, you could line the inside with aluminum foil.
