Changing My Room 2011 Edition 2: Part 2

Well, here is the second part of me changing my room. This has to be the most difficult thing I have done in changing my room. What I'm doing is that I'm replacing the carpet for wooden floors.

This carpet has seen hell.

Here is the padding/insulation that is under the carpet. The damn thing is glued to the floor, so I had to scrape it off.

Here is the bare concrete, I rolled out brand new insulation. Then I began the hardest part of this project, I had to measure, cut the planks, and hammer them into place over 120 times. I lost count because it is such a mind numbing experiences.

Final product.
It took me 7 hours to complete this on my own. The only thing I have left is to add new base boards. I'm really happy with this outcome because wood is so much nicer that carpet and it does wonders against my allergies. The final processes is rearranging and getting new furniture.

Atlus Hinting at a New Persona 4 Game?

Recently, Atlus registered a teaser site only showing the site's web address. However there is something familiar about this site, it is in the style of Persona 4.

The black text and yellow background kind of hints that whatever Atlus is planning, must revolve around Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4. I personally believe that Altus is going to re-release Persona 4 on the Sony PSP. It makes sense because Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 3 have all been ported to the PSP in the last few years. I also feel that Atlus is doing this now because in a few months, the anime adaptation of Persona 4 will air and they can bank on that momentum to make this a bestseller.

Now, one can also speculate that Atlus could re-release Persona 4 on the Playstation 3 and/or Xbox 360. I could see that they can market it as an HD version with Improved graphics and possibly more content.

To be honest, I'll be happy with whatever Atlus does with that property because I know that anything they make, will be great. So, what are you speculating that Atlus is hinting at?

Changing My Room 2011 Edition 2: Part 1

Well, by now you should all now because of my current situation about how I was going to move but then that plan went to hell. Instead of being bitter and angry about this, I will make the best of it. Since I'm the most fickle person in the world, I decided to redesign my room for the second time this year.

All of my stuff has been in boxes and bins for about 2 months, it's driving me nuts.

I started by installing plastic rain gutter to the back of my desk. This is mainly for cable management and I really hate seeing a mess of cables on the floor. I got this idea from Lifehacker, they a lot of great tutorial on cable management that are worth checking out.
I also finished painting the two small bookcases. The first time I did it, the paint chipped off and it bubbled. On my second try, I was successful with my paint job. The next thing that I will be doing, I will replace the crappy carpet that is harmful to my allergies to a nice wooden floor.

Yosuga no Sora Review

Today, I'm doing a review on an anime I recently watched, Yosuga no Sora.

Haruka and Sora Kasugano are fraternal twins that lost their parents in an accident. They decide to move from the city to a small rural town that they once spent a summer vacation with their grandparents. Many memories that Haruka had once forgotten have returned.

Positive
The animation looks good and it has some decent character designs. The voice acting is well put together and the sound track is alright.

This anime has a lot of sex scenes. Some people may end up thinking that this should have been a hentai, since it is based off of an eroge. But the subject of sex is done is a serious matter and not a damn joke.

Negative
The anime suffers in the pacing department. This anime is 12 episodes long and it wouldn't be a problem if it was aiming for a generic "lets hope we get a second season" ending. However, this show has multiple stories that branch out to alternate timelines crammed into it. So, it ends up being rushed and the only way to fixed this is to find a chart that follows the multiple timelines. If this anime had 24 episodes and dedicated 6 episode per arch, then that problem would be fixed.

Their is another thing that really pissed me off about this anime, the omake(extra)episodes that appear in the end of each episode. These are silly 2 - 5 minute long and they are loosely following the maid's storyline. This was a terrible idea to include them at the end, because it takes you out from serious episode you just watched. If this was just its own thing as a DVD extra, that would be great.

This anime has incest. Personally, I find that gross because I know what it is like to live with a sibling of the opposite sex. If you are into that, then good for you.

In conclusion, this anime is decent for what it is but the subject of incest is a big turn-off to many people. If you want a more complete experiance of Yosuga no Sora, then play the eroge it's based off of.
