Playing Magic: The Gathering
There is not much to say other than I picked up Magic: The Gathering for the first time in 10 years. I originally played it when I was in middle school and I had a big collection of cards. Then one day, I gave away all of my cards. Now that I'm starting up again, I need to build a few good decks.
A day after work, I decided to visit Wal-Mart to check out if they had any cards. I ended buying a Black/Green Innistrad Intro Deck and a 2012 two-player core set. When I got home, I wanted to find out if there was any local tournaments in my area. I found a table top game shop that does that sort of thing and I visited the next day.
While I was at the shop, it was a good experience. They gave me all sorts of good tips on the type of decks I want to build and everyone was really friendly. I was also informed since that shop is part of the Wizards Play Network, that means the shop will be part of special events such as launch parties for new card sets and tournaments. While I was there, I picked up a few things. I bought a Blue/White 2012 Intro core deck, two deck boxes, and...........
....... a 2011 Deck Builder Toolkit. This Deck Builder Toolkit is great because it brings a ton of helpful cards for anyone starting up.
I'm kind of glad that I got back into Magic: The Gathering as an adult because I better understand the game and I can buy any products as I like. So, do you play Magic: The Gathering? and what kind of deck do you play?Read more...

My Girlfriend is the President
JAST USA, the leading publisher of Japanese PC games in English, today announced the Golden Master status of My Girlfriend is the President, the latest “bishoujo game” collaboration between JAST USA brand JAST Densetsu and hit Japanese game developer Alcot. Golden Master is the final master before printing, putting the release of the game only a few weeks away.
My Girlfriend is the President is a fun and wacky visual novel full of cute girls, hilarious parody, and stirring romance. The player is Junichiro Hondo, who wakes up one day to find that the world has been transformed by aliens into a bishoujo paradise where cuteness is the ultimate authority. His childhood friend Yukino Ohama has become President of the United States of Nippon, who rules with overwhelming cuteness and a healthy dose of brainwashing. Will Junichiro be able to set the world right? Will he even want to?
My Girlfriend is the President is a multi-scenario romance simulation game with several endings to explore. Through their actions, players will be able to decide which of four cute and quirky girls Junichiro ends up with. Joining US President Ohama are Russian President Irina Putina (are these names starting to sound familiar?), Chief of Staff Ran Miyoshi, and a mysterious girl called Ell who just happens to be an alien starship in human form!
JAST USA president Peter Payne said, "There are thousands of dedicated fans of Japanese visual novels and bishoujo games around the world. When the fans let us know they really wanted us to license 'President,' we knew we couldn't let them down."

My Girlfriend is the President is suitable for adults 18 years and older, and is available for preorder now at the JAST USA website as well as other fine anime retailers, and is expected to ship in mid to late December of this year.
