I would pay off more of the principle balance from the bill for my car so I can stop monthly payments sooner. You thought I'd say figures huh? :) When it's that much I put it towards useful things. If I was randomly getting $100 I'd say I'd get another Pullip (it's a doll from Japan)

I inherited about $10000 recently. Being one who impulse buys alot of things I decided I was going to prevent myself from doing that and just put it in a seperate savings account. Everytime I get some spare cash, instead of spending it on figures or something, I just put it in that savings account. The interest is quite good.

I'd stash 1k and spend $500. It's about to be my favorite time of the year, tax returns. This year we're going to be spending them on home improvements and a bunch of figures (etc) we haven't been able to get yet, as well as whatever we'll end up needing for our son for school. Of course we'll also save a fair amount for emergency money or for a family vacation.

I would probably bank and save part of it after using it to pay for college stuff, maybe take a closer look at what I really need or want on a very personal basis that is going to be worth the buy. One needs to be careful with one's money or one will risk losing it all by not spending it judiciously.
