Video Game Loot

After so many years of putting it off, I finally got a PlayStation 3. When I went to buy it, I had planned to just buy the 160 GB version. Well, that plan changed really fast when I find out that for $50 USD more, I could get the 320 GB version that also includes a copy of Uncharted 3.

Within less than a week, I beat Uncharted 3. I personally feel it was a fantastic game due to the storyline and fun gameplay. However, it has no replay value for me since I'm not going to pay Sony an extra $10 USD just to get access for multiplayer. So, I ended up trading in Uncharted 3 for the limited edition version of Atelier Rorona. While I was at Gamestop, I also picked up $20 PSN card. I wanted to buy Street Fighter 3 Third Strike Online since the original version is my favorite fighting game of all time.

What comes with the limited edition version of Atelier Rorona is an artbook. It's really nice and the illustrations are well done. As soon as I'm done with this game, I'm getting the sequel, Atelier Totori.
For those who are interested, my PSN is otakudan1988. It is pretty much the same as my Steam account. As other games that I am planning to pick up later on are Sonic Generations and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. So, what games for the PlayStation 3 would you recommend for me to check out?

New Monitors and Newegg

Well, I finally got my new pair of monitors which I ordered from Newegg. This is the first time using them and I'm happy of with my purchase. They have fast shipping, low prices, and great customer service.

They are pretty cool.
There are two on complaint that I have about this purchase. I order both monitors at the same time yet, each one arrived on separate days with seems a bit weird to me. The second thing I didn't like was both monitors were shipped out just like how you see them in the picture above. If I wasn't around, USP would have just left them out in the open and anyone could have just walked up and taken them.

Here they are, these ,monitors are truly worth every penny I spent on them.
The next big purchase I'm going to be doing is finally getting my DSLR and possibly a new TV. My current camera is not focusing properly and my TV may have electrical problems. I sort of find it funny that I work with a top of the line DSLR almost everyday but I don't own one. My coworkers started to make fun of me for that. Hopefully by December, I will be the proud owner of a Canon T3i.

Oh, It's a Box

Something strange happened today, this mysterious cube presented itself in front of me. So, I opened it up to see its contents.

Quite a bit of packing was inside.

Miku Hatsune Lat-type version by Good Smile Company and Figma Miku Hatsune Appends by Max Factory.

It seems that these figma headphones came with the Figma Miku Appends in a small black bag. For a minute I thought was a silica gel packet, I almost threw it out.

I feel somewhat nostalgic doing this kind of post because when I started out, I thought it was cool and original sharing what I bought. Later on, I learned it was not. The only reason why I would ever do one of these post if I do a major purchase.

K-ON! Purchases

Sometime back while checking out figure.fm, I saw a post of someone selling off a few of his K-ON! goods. I did see a few things that I really wanted to buy but at the time, I was spending money on other things. A few weeks past and I decided to contact the seller if he still selling his stuff. He told be that the item I wanted was on hold. Two days later, he replies to me that the person who wanted to buy that item had changed his mind. One week later, I finally have those K-ON! goods that I wanted.

What I bought was Yui Hirasawa figure by Alter and a K-ON! keychain.

As the random keychain character, I got Ritsu on a piece of cake. What I like about this keychain is that the hook can be removed. I'm currently displaying her on desk. Also, it came with a piece of gum that tastes horrible after a few minutes of chewing it.

ThinkGeek Order

For a very long time, I have been a fan of the products at ThinkGeek. I really don't know why I never ordered from them before, but I finally did.

Even the box is awesome.

I got my sister the "You Never Forget Your First Doctor" t-shirt. She's the Doctor Who fan of the family.

As for myself, I got the Caffeine Mug. I have always wanted a clear mug.
I have already looking at what I'm going to order next from ThinkGeek. That Lilliput Mini USB Monitor looks appealing to my eyes.

I got a Present

Yesterday, I had a pretty bummed out day. One of my tires got stripped on my way back home from the college. To replace the tire, it costs me $ 75 USD. Pretty much, I had to use up the funds that I've been saving to buy a DSLR camera. When I finally made it home, I found this package from Hobby Link Japan. The weird thing is, I didn't order anything from them.

The thing is, this is present from my great friend, Lauren. For those who don't remember, I worked as assistant of press relations and marketing for Anime USA. I could not attend Anime USA because it was on the same week as my final exams. So, they got me a little something as a thank you.

I got Amae Koromo by Alter. She is really cute.

Long Awaited Package

About 2 weeks ago, Hobby Search had a sweet figure sale. They had so many figures I wanted for such low prices. However, I could only get one because I'm saving money for other things. After the long wait, I finally have that figure that I have always wanted.

Hobby Search always does a great job with packaging. I like to reuse the paper for stuff.

Its the extremely cute Noumi Kudryavka by Alter. Fun fact, I hugged the box for like 5 minutes. I can't believe I admitted to that.
I can't wait to do a figure photo shoot of this bundle of cute. The are so many photography technics that I want to try-out on her.

I've Got a Package

Well, It been a long time since I have done this kind of post. I would forget to take pictures and toss out the packaging before noticing that I could make a post from it. Now that I remember to do it, here it.

Crap, I hope it's not a blender.

It's Black Rock Shooter Black Blade version by Good Smile Company.

This is the only Black Rock Shooter figure that I like. I don't like that cannon, I find it a little ridiculous. I can't wait to do a photo shoot of this figure.

Shopping, Again

Have not done one of these posts in a while. I was pretty much browsing J-List the other day. I found one of those surgical masks with the print of a cute anime girl on it. I was going to original buy it for the hell of it. However, I bought something else, I got............................

Dengeki G's Festival! Deluxe volume 6 featuring Angel Beats!

This volume of Deluxe brings a 66 paged magazine with artwork, interviews, and other things that have to do with Angel Beats!, a nendoroid petit figure of Yuri, and a dakimakura cover of Teshi.
I would take out Teshi dakimakura from the wrapping but that will be for another post.

Woot Loot!

It has been a while since my last loot post. The reason behind that, college books are really expensive. Let me just say, with what a spent on books I could have bought a Playstation 3, two games, and a skin for the PS3 from GelaSkins. My budget was really tight for the last month and half. But now, I can breath again. Lets see what I got this month.

I bought Saint Seiya volume 28 and FullMetal Alchemist OVA. I won Pumpkin Scissor complete collection.
Not in picture because I was too lazy to take a new picture:
Old Boy volume 6, 7, and 8
DS lite charger stand
Mayflash arcade fighting stick
Figma Yuki
Genskiken 2 volume 3
A present for a very special lady of mine. I'm mentioning this because it's torture for her that she has to wait. I'm bad, really bad.

Free Stuff, W00t!!!

I recently updated the ad banner agreement with Hobby Search. The thing is, their PayPal system is down. They gave me the option of receiving HS points or not renewing the agreement. Well, you can see which option I picked. With the amount of points I got, I ordered some figures and covered shipping.

What I got from Hobby Search was Akiha Shishido Beach Queen version and Figma Saber Casual version.

I also got 2 issues of Otaku Magazine for reviewing purposes.
I still have some points but I'm saving them for any future items I may find interesting. I will be doing a photo shoot of both figure.

A "Little" Shopping

Oh look, a box was delivered to me yesterday. This past week a lot of great things happened to me and I felt that it would be nice to reward myself. I visited Amazon.com and bought several things from my long wish list. Some of the products in my wish list had been there for about a year and I think it was time to get them.

I got:

Pet Shop of Horrors: Tokyo vol. 6

Saving and Shopping

We all know that being an anime fan is an expensive hobby with new DVDs, manga, and figures coming out. I wanted to try a little experiment to see how much I would save if I did not buy anything for 2 months. I saved a lot of money, enough to get a DSLR camera. With the money I saved, I deposit most of it into a savings account and with the rest, I did a little shopping.

Five minutes later

I also bought Evangelion: 1.01. Originally I was going to buy Bleach season 4 boxset but when I saw Evangelion, I had to buy it. I am going to get Bleach season 4 boxset but I'll wait until season 5 boxset comes out to get them at the same time. I also bought a 4-port Octopus USB hub and a figure. I will reveal the new figure when I do a photo shoot of it. Now lets all quietly stare at Evangelion 1.01.

Just look at its majestic glory

Video Game Shopping

For the last few days, I have been shopping around for a new game. The last game I bought was Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4(still playing it). A couple of new games have come out and I wanted to get one. Lets see what I got.

I bought Phantasy Star Zero for the Nintendo DS. I have been wanting this game since it was shown in Tokyo Game Show 08. I played a little bit so far and it is pretty good. The gameplay feels like having an MMO in your hands. I'm going to play the hell out of it in this upcoming weekend.

Oh yeah, I also got Wii Fit Plus
The main reason why I got Wii Fit Plus is that I have not been able to work out as much as I use to due to studying and I HATE MY LOCAL GYM(Its full of fake tanned douchbags who are annoying as hell and the membership fee is expensive). So, have you bought any new games lately?

When I Was Sick Loot

Hi everyone, I'm back. I'm feeling better but still congested at the moment. During the time I was really sick, I got some packages in the mail. I was too tired to open them at the time. After I started feeling better, I had enough strength to open these goodies.

The reason why I have one box in the picture is that I ripped opened the other ones before realizing that I could do a post on this.

Bought a few movies that I have been wanting to own for ages. I got The End of Evagelion, Interstella 5555, and Lupin the third: The Castle of Cagliostro.

I also got two new figures, Nendoroid Melissa and Banpresto's Rangiku Matsumoto.

I will have some new figure photo shoots and several interesting manga reviews in the coming days.
